Willy Spiller
Willy Spiller is a photographer based in Zurich, Switzerland. His photographs have appeared in magazines and newspapers worldwide, but he may be best known for an extraordinary body of work that he shot in the subways of New York City beginning in the late ’70s. Those photographs were the focus of his book, “Hell on Wheels,” which has had huge success. “I often get asked by aspiring photographers how to make money quickly. 'Sell the camera‘, I say. Nobody ever told me that, so I stuck with it.”
