Tria Giovan
Tria Giovan (b. 1961, Chicago) is a Sag Harbor-based photographer drawn to subjects that intertwine the personal and observational. The in-depth, long-term nature of her projects is driven by curiosity, emotional connection and a desire to create informed images that reflect a humanistic engagement with the external world. Exhibited in the US and internationally, her photographs are in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of the City of NY, and the Brooklyn Museum, among others. Her latest monograph is "Loisaida New York Street Work 1984 – 1990", published by Damiani 2023.
